Taking a couple of days off from working on the next chapter of TDSOV, I had some fun with two very lovely guys made by bohemianscribe. Nicholas and Sebastian starred in her story Red Moon, and are now available to download here
In my game they've just moved into a house in Desiderata Valley, and are currently in the process of building their skills (starting with the most important, cooking). Here's Nicholas, taking the studying process very seriously - probably just as well, as his lifetime want is to be a celebrity chef:

It went up for voting last weekend (but was written before I went away in February, so it's almost a month old!). I may even try to sim the story, as I think I've decided on the skintone I'll need for the male character. If I do sim it, it will have to wait until I'm further ahead with The Dark Seduction of Vampyres. |

This week I have a few out-takes from Chapters 2 and 3 of TDSOV, posted while I finish putting my downloads back in before making a start on the shots for Chapter 4. Talking of downloads, I've had a much better clear out, so hopefully everything will run better this time around.
On to the goodies! First up we have Eddie the desk sergeant. He's the first version I made of Edward Cullen, the vampire in the Twilight series of books by Stephenie Meyer:

Before my game crashed last night I managed to get a couple of "make-over" shots taken while I was rebuilding the lots for my vampire story, The Dark Seduction of Vampyres. Anyone who's read Chapter 1 will know that in the story I'm using the originally nutty-as-fruit cakes Beaker and Specter families, as well as my own characters. Loki and Circe have already appeared, so you know how they look with defaults of Enayla's skintones and eyes and other non-Maxis goodies, but you may have missed good old Nervous Subject as I re-named him Neil Specter and he only appears in one shot. As it was the Specter's house that I was working on pre-crash, here are Nervous/Neil and his mum Olive:

My royal kingdom, White Horse Vale, finally self destructed :( While I'm more than slightly miffed that I can't complete the challenge (even though I wasn't keeping score), at least I got further than on my first attempt. Rather than letting my Sims Life Musings blog go to waste until I get around to trying the Asylum Challenge, I've decided to post the occasional non-Sims story over there in place of WHV. I've just added the first story, The Scarlet Gown, which was my Round 1 entry for a contest at the Sims Contest forum (there aren't any Sims in it, honest!):

I originally started "The Dark Seduction of Vampyres" as soon as it was announced that vampires would be a part of the Nightlife expansion pack, but I never did too much work on it as I couldn't face all of those blue Maxis vampires running around :lol: As some wonderful people (who's names I can't remember) have since worked their magic and allowed vampires to keep their original eye colour and skintone, I decided to get the project rolling properly ....

As I'll be posting my vampire series "The Dark Seduction of Vampyres" at my Blogsome site in a few weeks time, I thought I'd post a few out-takes featuring one of my vampire families. The Maxwell family became vampires many centuries ago (how many centuries will be revealed in a later chapter). There are three siblings: Julian, Augustus (Gus for short) and Constance. I thought I'd add a random post just to keep a check on how this thing works. There's not much to report on the Sims story/challenge front at the moment, although something amusing - if slightly worrying - happened when one of my story characters was lectured by a fireman a few weeks ago. To cut a long and rather cringe-worthy story short, my Sim decided that after the lecture he wanted to see the ghost of the fireman AND drink him :X Needless to say I took a screenshot of his wants and fears panel just to make sure that I wasn't imagining things:

These are three heirs from Generation 2, newly installed at college. From left to right they are Louis Montgomery (royal), Edward Knight (noble) and George Chandler (merchant). They'd just arrived at their dorm, hence the lack of clothing for the historical period they belong to (Regency). Better get them booted and suited! |

I thought it was about time I posted something on here, even though it will hardly be used except for the odd random Sim picture or ramble. The links to my main blogs can be found in my profile, and over the next week or so I may even add a couple of adverts for them just to see how this place works. Don't expect miracles though ..... |
